I generally never leave reviews but my husband and I felt compelled to share our story because this place has changed our lives and could potentially help others as well. After a couple of failed IVF attempts at a different clinic we went to Dr. Chang and his team, and our experience could not have been better. Dr. Chang was extremely attentive and with us through every step of the process. He was extremely honest and candid regarding our chances of success, and we felt extremely cared for and listened to. We are now expecting our first child at the end of this year. We are forever grateful for Dr. Chang and his team. It’s hard to find the words to thank them enough. Thank you Dr Chang and Hanabusa for giving us the best gift ever!
Dr. LeBlanc is amazing — she is so patient, willing to answer all questions, and incredibly knowledgeable. Some doctors get defensive if you try to ask them questions to understand why they’re making their recommendations, but Dr. LeBlanc was the opposite — so kind and willing to talk everything through with me to my satisfaction until I understood what was going on.I did 3 egg retrievals with them to preserve embryos as I am in the early stages of Primary Ovarian Insufficiency. I am so happy with my results (including a cycle that I only produced one egg but it developed into a euploid embryo).Overall good experience with flying in from out-of-state, definitely significantly more expensive getting bloodwork and scans done remotely (the clinics local to me all charge more expensive prices for monitoring-only patients, and then on top of that you owe a fee to Hanabusa for reviewing your bloodwork — I’d guess it was about 3x more expensive per monitoring appt) and a bit of a pain in the butt having to check in and make sure the results were actually sent over each day but 100% worth it because I was so confident we were getting the best care.Would highly recommend Hanabusa for anyone with DOR/POI, even if you’re not in California.
We just did our first embryo transfer with Hanabusa and are waiting for the results but I feel grateful that I chose to go with Hanabusa when embarking on my fertility journey. I feel really comfortable being there, I feel comfortable with the staff, I feel like they are on top of my bloodwork and exams, and I feel like I am being heard. It is also an amazing process seeing what modern day science is capable of. It’s been an experience I’ll never forget and I’m glad I chose this place to have that experience with.
From the beginning our doctor had a defeated attitude. On my first ultrasound she told me she was disappointed with what she saw.IVF is very challenging and a defeated attitude from the get-go, when you are trying to create life doesnt serve anyone. As a mental health clinician I understand how important the mindset is, not to mention what you say to patients .And there was our nurse- Andrea. She was awful. No patience and she seemed to get frustrated whenever we had additional questions. For example, for our first round we had a in-person demo of how to administer the meds, as well as a video link and written instructions to refer back to- very helpful! For the second round (with new meds added) we only got an invalid video link with written instructions. We wanted at least a visual example of how to administer the meds. Theyre expensive, wanted to make sure we were doing them correctly! However, upon reaching out for additional support- we got nothing but attitude. It felt like pulling teeth to get that assistance. Then we made a mistake administering one of our meds. I then reached out, worried we had messed up the dosage. Called the front desk- they were wonderful-patient and understanding with our concern after explaining. Upon receiving a return call, I explained to Andrea Im not sure if the front desk explained the situation? (In an effort to save time and not re-explain how we fudged the meds) she responded with Um no but if you want-I can hang up with you, go talk to the front desk and then call you back! And it wasnt in a nice way. After already being stressed about administering the meds wrong we get her condescending attitude. This is what we dealt with with our nurse. All the other nurses we experienced were great. After explaining the situation to the office manager Karen and expressing we were uncomfortable continuing with Andrea we requested to change nurses. She refused and kept making excuses “oh thats just Andreas personality And never once apologized. Then they charged us for an unused calcium bath that was to be used for the 2nd round Egg Retrieval, which we decided to forgo, due to the fact that there was only 1 mature follicle. We called and explained our concerns. Karen was somewhat receptive, but also tried to sway us you know it only takes one, that could be the one!We requested an additional monitoring and got in with Dr Chang. He was great! He gave us options and shared it was reasonable to be concerned and not wanting to proceed with this round. He gave us 3 options to proceed: 1) timed intercourse, 2) IUI, 3) IVF and we were instructed to let them know once I ovulated/ we decided. The next week we were billed by Effie in billing- for an unused calcium bath. I asked her to remove the charge and she said shed talk to her supervisor and get back to me. This was on a Monday. We waited for an answer in regard to removing the charge. Friday when I ovulated and contacted them via the portal like we always did for our next steps, instead of getting a response for the next steps in our pregnancy plan, we get this message from Effie I will suspend service until balance is clear really? This woman has just hijacked our plan for $300-400?? That the last time I checked, you were waiting to hear back from your supervisor? This is how we get our answer? You hijacking our pregnancy plan? At that point we had already dropped $13-15k and our balance was always paid within a week/week and half. Not only that- Id overhead other patients in office, one lady had over $2k balance and I overheard her say Ill pay it next time. So here we are being harassed for a $300-400 med that was unused, meanwhile some patients get the benefit of the doubt- to pay later so Ive witnessed first-hand. Wheres the consistency? Wheres the professionalism? This is something the business couldve easily written off.We were treated poorly. We just expected more. After reading all of the great reviews we were so disappointed with our experience. We left. We never got a response or apology.
Hanabusa has been so wonderful as my partner and I have navigated the IVF process. The staff are so kind and caring and make us both feel like a priority every time we are seen. The teams communication is prompt and scheduling is easy and flexible. The IVF journey is certainly filled with highs and lows and the team provides compassion and empathy along the way to make you feel supported. Im very grateful for the team at Hanabusa.
I honestly cant speak of Hanabusa and Dr. Chang with more higher of a regard. Ive spent 3 years with infertility, 10 IVF cycles at various different clinics (in addition to 4 egg retrievals elsewhere) -- I finally went to Hanabusa b/c I heard of their mini protocols and thought of giving it a final go with another cycle. Before doing so, Dr. Chang recommended I try timed intercourse -- his logic was that I could make blasts so why not try before pushing a full on cycle -- Im so happy I did. 2 timed intercourse cycles in I am pregnant... 11 weeks tomorrow. So while I may have a cautious road ahead of me due to my age -- I would have never had this chance without Dr. Chang and this Clinic. Dr. Chang was very knowledgeable and kind and would answer all my questions. I never felt rushed. My Nurse Ai was amazing and so kind and responsive and I really felt treated like a human and not a number (which has not been the same at other clinics). 10/10 would recommend! definitely give Hanabusa a try (I also did a consult with Dr. Leblanc for ovarian PRP and she was so so kind and confident). I honestly never write reviews like these but felt so compelled to do so. Thank you Hanabusa Team for my chance at being a mom
So I recently went here for a consultation with Dr. Diane Leblanc. I had some reservations regarding IVF and Dr. Leblanc was very thorough in answering my questions. She went over my specific background and situation and helped develop a plan and treatment for me. I felt comfortable with her knowledge and expertise. The office/practice itself seemed too notch from coordinating and scheduling appointments to speaking with the financial person. Their patient portal and easy to navigate as well. Id recommend a visit.
We have been working with Hanabusa for 3 years now. We had alot of challenges in our journey but we a blessed to have a Dr Chang. He is very knowledgeable and on top of every possible research. In the past we didnt have a good experiencpe with other clinics. Before medications and therapies, Dr Chang always looks into our labs and history before proceeding to our current plan. He always brings new ideas and new technologies. The staff are very friendly, especially our Nurse Heizl, everything with updates and responds to our emails. Our personal story is not easy but we trust Dr Chang and the whole team to achieve our successful outcome.
Words cannot express the gratitude, love, and admiration we have for Hanabusa. Every person, each step, every moment was treated with care and determination. I hold my 6 week old writing this review. We live out of state and had small success with IVF but wanted to do another cycle. I am a “poor responder” and was written off by my doctor in town. Thanks to a chance post on Facebook, someone suggested Hanabusa and Dr. Chang, and it was the best decision of our lives!Dr. Chang is brilliant AND has great bedside manner, which is rare. He is caring, understanding, answers every question you have, and has a deep intellectual curiosity about all things fertility and health related. His attention to detail is unparalleled which was the opposite of my previous doctor who had me on every supplement and medicine with no follow up or testing. Dr Chang takes a holistic look at everything you’re taking AND what’s going on in your life. He follows the research and science, yet takes you as a human into account. I have never had a doctor like him before, and he is now the gold standard! The difference was from the get-go: kind financial and scheduling staff. A 30 minute initial consultation with Dr Chang that answered ALL of our questions. Nurses who are positive and communicate with you regularly. You feel like a member of the Hanabusa family from day 1.We spent over a year with our previous doctor and did 4 cycles (2 cancelled) of “kitchen sink protocols.” With Dr Chang, we did a mini IVF that was unique to me and I am now holding my 6 week old. We have another embryo with Hanabusa and we look forward to transferring when we can.Being out of state was not as big of a deal as I imagined and so, so worth it. Hanabusa’s pricing with travel was less expensive than my former doctor’s office.I can only speak from my experience but it really was the best decision we’ve ever made! I recommend Hanabusa to anyone I know who is looking for fertility help.
Dr. Chang and the staff at Hanabusa have gone above and beyond in guiding my husband and I through our fertility journey. We received results that we never expected and it is no doubt from Dr. Changs immense experience working in the fertility space. We were able to do a lower dose egg retrieval and got to spend much less money on medications than we did with our full IVF stimulation on our first retrieval. The staff assisting during my retrieval were so kind and attentive as well, I felt so safe and comfortable during and after the procedure. We are so excited for the next phase of our journey and we are so happy to be in the care of Hanabusa IVF. The lower medication and less intervention approach in general is a breath of fresh air for us. Dr. Chang really listens to what we value medically and brings in a wealth of knowledge amd evidence based recommendations. I cannot recommend him enough!
My journey to parenthood was a whirlwind of emotions, full of highs and lows, but it was made brighter by the amazing team at Hanabusa Clinic and the incredible Dr. Leblanc. Id like to share my story and how they helped me along the way.Walking into Hanabusa Clinic for the first time was nerve-wracking. I had carried the weight of failed attempts and dashed hopes for so long that I was on the brink of giving up. But hope, like a tiny spark, started to flicker the moment I met Dr. Leblanc.Dr. Leblanc, a compassionate and knowledgeable soul, instantly put me at ease. She wasnt just about the medical stuff – she saw a person, not just a patient. She saw my dreams and my yearning for a family. The clinic was like a safe haven, filled with friendly and understanding staff who felt more like friends than healthcare providers. They stood by my side through all the ups and downs, lending their unwavering support. My journey was far from easy, but Dr. Leblanc and Hanabusa Clinic never gave up on me. They explored all the options, customized treatments for my specific needs, and kept me sane through the crazy rollercoaster of emotions that fertility treatments can be.They say a great doctor isnt just an expert in medicine but also in empathy. Dr. Leblanc embodied this. She balanced the science of fertility with an understanding of the emotional struggles we face. Now, holding my little one in my arms, I cant help but look back at the journey. Im filled with gratitude for Hanabusa Clinic and Dr. Leblanc. They turned my dream into reality and made me a mom.If youre on a similar journey, I wholeheartedly recommend Hanabusa Clinic and Dr. Leblanc. Theyre not just fertility specialists; theyre dream-weavers, making the impossible possible. Theyve given me the greatest gift – the joy of motherhood – and for that, Im eternally grateful. My journey with Hanabusa Clinic and Dr. Leblanc was more than a medical experience; it was about finding a compassionate team who believed in hope. They are a shining example of how care, compassion, and expertise can transform lives on the challenging path to parenthood.
Let me just say, I feel like Ive truly found the absolute right place for me in my fertility journey. The first place I went to was like going to the DMV--not personalized at all, default was to go full speed with every drug imaginable to ensure optimal results. Hanabusa was not only super transparent up front with an itemized breakdown of expected costs (so you know going in how much each aspect will be), they were incredibly responsive and helpful with rescheduling me when timing didnt work out. My first visit was with Dr. Chang, whom I chose based on his work with minimal stimulation IVF together with the ability to have an egg retrieval without anesthesia (also important to me). I searched high and low, even looking overseas, but my unicorn doctor was right in San Diego! I was a bit nervous about what to expect (from my first experience, it was about 5 minutes with a doctor), but Dr. Chang was in-depthly familiar with my and my husbands previous labs and tests/assessments, and spent about an HOUR going over every detail, options, and answered all of my questions logically, with patience, and tremendous knowledge. There was never a pressured feeling and I have far more confidence in the process now than I did before and Im so excited to take the next steps with Hanabusa. I would recommend so highly, especially if youve found yourself with previous clinics who have either been pessimistic about your odds, or not transparent about costs, or just not giving you the time you need to really feel like you know whats going to happen and how it is going to affect your body.
Hanabusa was recommended by my friend a few years ago (and she got a baby boy!), and we finally decided to take our problem seriously. On the date of our first consultation appointment, Dr. LeBlanc went through all the procedures and information that we have to know patiently. She was so nice and knowledgeable that she even provided us options, allowing us to consider continuing with a few more cycles naturally before committing to their procedure! Other places weve been to were quite aggressive, and Hanabusa doesnt give us that same feeling. The staffs are friendly, they care about you. Even though we are not parents yet, we highly recommend Dr. LeBlanc and Hanabusa to you! I believe with their profession and service, our journey wont be too long and alone. Good luck to all of us!
Hanabusa and Dr. Leblanc have been great. I chose them because I wanted to do a more natural IVF process and I feel good about the way it’s gone. We haven’t been successful yet but are still in our journey. They’ve helped us along the way to feel comfortable with everything and have answered all our questions and allowed us to feel comfortable giving feedback on our process.
After two failed IVF cycles at another clinic we were excited to join Hanabusa. There was a lot of good feedback online and we had a good initial consultation with Dr. Chang. He is very data driven. I would say his style of communication is very stream of consciousness. He provides lots of his thoughts and seems to consider things from multiple angles/hypothesis. We were also excited that he would let us start a cycle naturally without any estrace or birth control. With my prior two failed cycles being higher doses of meds we were excited to see what a lower dose cycle would produce. On a positive note all the staff I interacted with in the office were all courteous and friendly.Where things were really unacceptable to me was their communication. I did have to have 3 blood tests before I started injections due to not optimal hormone levels. We did 4 nights of injections and then I went in for another ultrasound and blood work. The doctors review the results and the nursing staff is supposed to contact you by 4pm with the update for the day. When the results didnt arrive, I sent a portal message to their office at 4:17 pm and then had to call at 5pm to request updated instructions from their after hours answering service. We received updated instructions through the portal at 5:18pm. These updated instructions provided advice to skip this cycle as well as advice on how to maximize chances for success this cycle if we wanted to move forward. Since they were not sent to us until well after the office was closed for the day, we had no opportunity to ask questions. We were forced to decide on our own with limited information whether to inject hundreds of dollars of medications before being able to speak to anyone at the office. This is extremely frustrating and does not meet my expectations for communication. I can see the portal being a good path for communication for simple things like medication dosage changes but the message we received about possibly cancelling our cycle was significantly more complicated and very hard to process on our own.Our assigned nurse said she was out sick that day, our results didnt get reviewed by Dr. Chang until late in the day and that she tried to call us to discuss but the call wouldnt go through to my phone (even though she said it was working for other people). This felt very invalidating of our experience and seemed to try to place the blame on my phone. I mentioned that she could have sent me a portal message if she was having trouble reaching me but that was not done. We felt forced into making a decision without sufficient information to do so. In the portal it was said that doing another cycle would give us more predictable results however when I finally spoke to our nurse on the phone she said thats not what they meant to say. She also confirmed that they cannot guarantee that you can get same day feedback from the doctor on any questions about your cycle due to their internal processes. In older reviews for the office people raved about getting to see the doctors at each ultrasound. Clearly the office has grown a lot to the point they cant communicate in a timely manner for such an interactive and emotional process. It’s been a significant financial and emotional investment for it to end this way.
Dr. Chang and staff are truly honest, genuine and caring. After 10 years of infertility and many disappointments, Dr.Chang who always believed that with the right treatments I would have a successful IVF transfer made it happen. As of today am in my first trimester. Thank you Hanabusa!
When I first embarked on my journey of being a surrogate I was feeling uneasy about the process. It wasn’t until I met the amazing staff at Hanabusa that I was put at ease. Their thoroughness and diligence to providing the best medical care is second to none. From the reception to the nurses and doctors, I’ve never met a better prepared team and I was very pleased with my experience. Now that I embark on my own journey to add to my family I look no further than Hanabusa. My surrogacy experience with Dr. Chang was exceptional and I know I am in the best hands now that I will be with Dr. LeBlanc on my new journey.
Hanabusa IVF is a breath of fresh air in the often heartbreaking world of IVF! We were referred to another clinic within our health insurance network and received such disappointing treatment that we sought out other options. My acupuncturist recommended Hanabusa for their customized treatment, particularly with older patients, and we havent looked back! Dr. Chang is kind, knowledgeable, and eager to get to the bottom of things. He sees each patient, and each cycle, as unique and truly cares about the outcome. The clinic staff and nurses are all sweethearts and make you feel so welcome. IVF isnt cheap, but Hanabusas prices are transparent and fair. Were still on our journey, but optimistic about the future and our treatment at Hanabusa!
So far I have experienced in Hanabusa IVF is what I have been looking for in this long journey. The service is excellent, everyone is friendly and professional. Dr. Chang knows my medical history from the initial consultation, unlike most other doctors only tried to put their own treatment plan on me, instead of making effect to know my past medical condition first. I know this is not an easy task, since every Dr. has to deal with so many patients. After each monitor, Dr. Chang always gave his reason for his adjustment on each medication and dosage (He let patient know why and how he balances E2, FSH and LH). With Dr. Chang, I feel more confident to reach a good outcome even though I just started my IVF treatment. I also like my nurse Ryan, she always answered my questions fast and clear. I have nothing to complain, since this clinic already arranges everything in order, everyone I have met from the admin team and nurse team are super nice, which makes me feel at ease. An extra plus point is Hanabusa charges after each time service is rendered, not like other clinics ask for a lump sum before treatment starts. I really appreciate all the effort they have made in every aspect. Hope our wish will finally come true with Hanabusa.
After going through a few fertility treatments at other clinics, we can confidently say that coming to Hanabusa IVF is one of the best decisions we could have made for our family. Words can’t express how grateful we are to Dr. Chang, who looked at the total picture of my health history and developed a personalized treatment protocol just for me. And the egg retrieval process was easy with a quick recovery.
I started my Fertility journey in 2020. The doctors in Europe told me that it was impossible to have a child with my own eggs because of POF (AMH 2,3 pmol/L). The doctors I visited basically pushed me to sonate eggs. But I first wanted to try it with my own eggs. Thats when I decided to contact Hanabusa.I had a virtual consultation with dr Chang. The moment we talked my hopes came back. We had some bloodwork done So dr. Chang could monitor my condition while we waited for the borders to open (COVID).On the 12th of November (on my birthday) I entered the US. On the 15th of November I was in doctor Changs office. We started my first cycle immediately.I could only stay 3 months in the US so I wanted to become pregnant within these months so we had no time to waist. Many Years ago my fiancé had a vasectomy done so he needed a TESA. Because of thanksgiving his TESA was done earlier then my egg retrieval. Dr. Hsieh, who was recommanded by dr. Chang, did a great job. So we had enough sperm for 3 attempts. My first egg retrieval was painless without anesthesia. I wanted to witness it all and with the good guidance of dr. Chang and his team I didnt feel a thing. Unfortunately I only had 2 eggs and one of them wasn’t mature. I had 0 embryo’s. But it was my first try. I had 2 more rounds. The next month I did an egg retrieval and dr. le Blanc extracted 4 eggs (1 immature). 2 embryo’s survived day 3. Because my embryo quality wasn’t great Dr. Chang adviced me to freeze them on day 3. I was so happy! A weight lifted off my shoulders because I had a chance of becoming pregnant with my own eggs. The next month we extracted 6 eggs. 5 of them became embryo’s (day 3). 2 of them were tranfered on day 3. One of them grew into a healthy babygirl Jayla (6 months now) who is sleeping next to me in a comfy hotel on Ibiza as I write this testimonial.Every step in my ivf was perfectly guided by the Hanabusa team. I was in a foreign country with a different language and different procedures, but I never felt lost because the Hanabusa staff was always available to answer my questions.Thank you dr. Chang, nurse Heizl, Elizabeth and all the others. You Made my IVF as easy as it could get. Even the blood extractions where painless!
I recently switched to Hanabusa after failing three rounds of IVF at another facility. They have been very supportive and understanding. Their pricing is fair and you only pay for what you do - like egg retrieval cost is based on numbers of eggs retrieved. I can’t say that I’ve gotten pregnant yet, but I am hopeful it will happen this year. Infertility is difficult and no one understands more than Hanabusa. As a bonus they even have a free support group for those who struggle with infertility. I’m so happy I made the switch I just wish I would have done so sooner.Update- I’m pregnant! Due in 7 weeks. I would have never made it here without Dr. LeBlanc. She was patient, understanding and helped me realize that while the process may take time, the end result is what matters- patience is key. I was often frustrated with my progress and she was very reassuring. When everyone else told me donor eggs, she said not yet; let’s try again with your own!
Dr. Chang and the team at Hanabusa truly changed our lives! They were our 4th clinic after heartbreaking results and we wished we went to them from the very start. You truly are seen as a person and not just a number. Our protocols were tailored specifically to me and as a result, we were able to make it farther than we’ve ever had before. We officially graduated from the clinic this week and I couldn’t recommend them more.
Dr. Chang and the team at Hanabusa IVF are amazing and truly unique in the world of IVF. He treats you as an individual, is incredibly knowledgeable, answers your questions and supports you throughout your journey. And that makes such a big difference—it was this personalized care and thoughtful approach made it possible for us to have our baby girl, and we will forever be grateful!
Dr Chang and his team at Hanabusa IVF are simply excellent. Dr Chang is very kind and he listens to what patients want and need and provides the best course of treatment. He is also very knowledgeable and answers to every question we had and he explains the IVF procedures in details. We really appreciate the treatment service provided by Dr Chang and we are thankful he has made our dream of having a baby come true.
Dr Chang is awesome and very thorough. I love all the nurses at their clinic who are kind , helpful very professional — to name few Yukiko and Ai are excellent.I am so glad I switched to hanabusa from another IVF clinic — I was told at other clinic ( reproductive center La Jolla ) that my chances of having a baby are
We did our due diligence and met with 3 doctors prior to starting and I immediately fell in love with Hanabusa and Dr. LeBlanc. I felt she took the time to connect with me and my partner and at each visit she genuinely was concerned about my journey. I felt like she crafted a specific customized plan for me and feel accompanied throughout this difficult process. The staff at Hanabusa are amazing, so kind and warm which is needed when we are calling so often about such a difficult experience! Dr. LeBlanc, the nurses and admin are so quick to respond to emails and phone calls! It truly felt like I could stop advocating for my needs because they will take care of me.
I went in for a consultation with Dr. Chang and everything about my visit was GREAT! His staff, especially Elizabeth, were wonderful and professional. Dr. Chang was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Hanabusa IVF uses a different technique than other IVF centers and I would highly recommend everyone who is going through IVF to visit Dr. Chang/Hanabusa to learn about their process/technique. Also, their office was very nice and clean and it is great that patients are able to have all the procedures done in the same place!
I have had excellent care at Hanabusa IVF and with Dr. Chang. He is a very kind and patient doctor. He always takes the time to answer all my questions. This clinic returns emails and phone calls in a timely manner which I did not find at my previous clinic and makes such a huge difference. The staff at the clinic are also very kind and make me feel at ease. Dealing with infertility is so tough, but having an understanding doctor and a kind staff makes it a bit easier to handle. This is a great clinic!
I have been treated with nothing but respect, empathy and compassion through one of the most stressful periods of my life. My appointments are efficient and I barely wait more than 5 minutes to get seen. I have been going to Hanabusa for almost a year now. Dr. LeBlanc and all the staff have totally won me over, and I’m thankful to have found this clinic during this very challenging fertility journey.
Dr. Chang is absolutely amazing doctor among our RE I have ever seen. He is knowledgeable, patient, listening, and empathizing. He spent almost 2 hours in our first video consultation with us, and he went through our fertility history very carefully, and tried to answer any question we asked. He never pushed us into IVF directly, hed like to introduces methods to boost our fertility based on our situation.
After a pretty negative experience at the big San Diego fertility clinic, I was referred to Dr. Chang by my acupucturist for his outlook, bedside manner, holistic approach, and personalized care. I wish I would have started this journey with him and saved myself the pain and mental health issues from the other place. He runs an amazing, empathetic, and thoughtful crew. Every interaction Ive had with him and any of the nurses has always been warm, detailed, and Ive always felt they have treated me as an individual person with specific needs and not just a number. Hanabusa really has been such a comforting place during the toughtes times. Cant recommend them enough.
Finding this clinic is the best thing that ever happened to us. We went through multiple failed attempts at some of the most well known IVF clinics in San Diego. Same medications and same procedures for every cycle. We were finally told to try an egg donor which was not an option for us. We Thank our Almighty Allah bringing us to Hanabusa. We are now 22 weeks pregnant with a baby Girl. Dr.Chang is not only the most talented Doctor that we have ever met but he is also most humble. We love the nurses too. Thank You Hanabusa for being so kind to us.
I am grateful that I am working with Hanabusa for my IVF journey. The staff is compassionate and respectful. I feel that I am getting personal, individualized care from my doctor.Infertility is a hard, emotional and life changing diagnosis. I am grateful for compassionate care that I get at Hanabusa IVF.
Dr. Chang and the Hanabusa team were all amazing. This was the 5th fertility clinic weve worked with over the years and their kindness and professionalism was a breath of fresh air.Dr. Chang is kind, candid, and focused. He really focuses on your case individually and doesnt try to push a standardized protocol. We first had a consult with Dr. Chang about 3 years before we ended up working with him; he told us our case did not require his techniques for producing embryos but he would certainly work with us if we preferred his clinic. Well, he was correct. We went elsewhere and we were fortunate to create a half dozen healthy embryos from one round of traditional IVF. Unfortunately, we did not like the other doctors highly standardized FET process, so we relocated our embryos and came back to Dr. Chang to handle the rest of the process. We were very happy with our decision. Dr. Chang made the very delicate FET process much less stressful than our prior experiences. He prioritized my health (physical and mental) and comfort during the process. And we are excited to say that his process worked! All the nurses were very friendly and helpful. Theyve happily answered all my questions along the way.I would certainly recommend Hanabusa highly to anyone dealing with fertility challenges. This is an industry that often feels very cold and profit driven... Ive found Hanabusa to be a lovely detour from that. Kindness and sincere care make for a much better patient experience.
I would definitely gave five stars! I am 42 years old and struggling for getting pregnant for more than 8 years! Dr.Chang is very nice and smart of making plans to suits your needs! I am currently pregnant for 9 weeks and my surrogate has been pregnant for 39weeks, I am going to have two kids on 2022 ! Just preceed to Hanabusa! You will start your new life from there!
We had a wonderful experience at Hanabusa. Staff was so caring and professional. From start to finish, it took us 12 months to have our baby girl! Born from our niece as our surrogate with a donor egg and my husbands sperm. Couldnt be more thrilled!
I am currently doing IVF at Hanabusa IVF. From the first, I choose it is because I live in San Diego and the place is very close and also Ive heard about Doctor Changs name before. But after I am doing ivf there, I just feel I really love this place. Not only Doctor Chang is really good and always explains things to his patient clearly and put a lot of efforts to address patient real problem, but also the stuff there are so friendly and nice making you feel like a family. Before I went to Hanabusa, I did 6 times transfer (all blasts) in other places and all failed. Doctor Chang put a lot of efforts to help me to find possible reasons instead of simply repetition. Not only Doctor Chang and his stuff, the lab there is pretty amazing too, recently I just did an egg retrieval, and with only around 500 E2 and the biggest size of follicles is only 15mm, others are less than 12mm before the day of trigger (I really dont have many follicle in baseline, normally I have only 4 to 5 total and I have serious follicle leading issue), Doctor Chang retrieved 5 eggs and 4 of them are matured and the amazing part is that I got 4 blasts. So I really appreciate their efforts to make this happen. Although I still have not been successful yet, but I really feel this is a good place to recommend!
Dr. Chen, the incubator, and the staff were bilingual and research enthusiastic. I had a lot of discussions at the Integrated Medical Seminar, and I learned a lot.Thank you.
Dr. Chang is simply the best. He always keeps our best interest in mind and caters every decision to our needs/wants. Heizl Irwin is also the best and the entire staff is so helpful and caring. We are incredibly grateful to have found Hanabusa!
Love Dr. LeBlanc and all the staff! Nancy, Disha, Effie, Allyson, are awesome. Sorry if I forgot anyones name. They are very accommodating, great with communication, compassionate and understanding. They always answer my millions of questions. Even my blood draw experience was great! I hate needles and I barely felt the poke. The nurse was extremely nice. I havent started treatment yet but we are about to and I can honestly say I know we picked the best place to do this.
I absolutely love Dr. Chang and all of the nurses and staff at Hanabusa IVF. I felt that Dr. Chang really took the time to get to know me, my heart and understand my needs. He explained everything very detailed and in a way that I was able to understand clearly.
Dr. Chang is amazing and is great at what he does. All the nurses have been extremely sweet and caring. I was referred to them for my surrogate experience and I have nothing, but great compliments. Im very thankful to have them on my side.
Our experience was phenomenal. The team of doctors and nurses worked with us even though we live across the country. They were professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone. Because of them, our daughter is here.
I have had the best experience at Hanabusa IVF. I’ve been to other IVF clinics and, in comparison, it feels like the staff at Hanabusa and Dr. Chang really have spent the time to get to know me and my needs.
Great place and pricing for IVF. Communication with all staff is great. They listen and make sure you have the best experience and program that suits your needs and budget. Wish I would have used them before another IVF facility.
Super helpful team, all the ladies in the front office are so very nice. I am glad I was referred here and I would recommend to other women searching for a GREAT IVF doctor.
An absolutely wonderful place! I would give more stars if I could. The entire staff is fabulous, from the ladies at the front desk, to the nurses, to Dr. Chang himself. I cannot recommend this place enough!
This place is really really the best. They really care about you I try so many places but non of them was like that, doctor talk to you care about you. If I can rate them more than 5 star I would do.
In the process of starting ivf and have had a great experience with the doctors and staff. They have been helpful and explained things thoroughly.
This place is great. Everyone is so nice. They listen to your concerns and are very knowledgeable. I just wished I lived closer.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Supportive in discussing options.
I had a consultation with Dr. Chang . He was very kind , a gentleman!
Good
There is no discomfort at all during egg retrieval, and the clinic’s service is very good.
